Click the shutter, take a pic
One man’s life can pass so quick
Army mates in Jazz band
A lovely bride take by the hand
Susie too, a dad so proud
Headstrong girl stands out in crowd
Pictures moving, pictures still
Time with friends, top of the bill
A life complete, a man so great
Farewell Albert, our dear old mate

Albert Bale passed away in 2009.

He was without doubt, a much-loved member of the WACC as well as the Walthamstow Stills club.

Albert had a rich, smooth voice that lent itself to the role of interviewer in the club's annual version of "Desert Island Discs".

His charm, eloquence and intelligence shone brightly even at the age of 95.

Albert's photograpic skills were legendary. His philosophy was "why take 10 bad pictures when you can take 1 good one?"

Albert's jokes will be forgotten long before the man and his winning smile.
